Step 3 – Testing

With the system now “closed”, the next step is to ensure everything is working correctly.

1. Operate the system until it is fully pressurized and all air is discharged.

 

 

2. Check the system for leaks and repair them if necessary.

 

 

3. If leaks are found, re-flush the affected areas after all leaks are repaired.

 

 

 

Once the system is verified to have no leaks:

1. Record initial readings on flow meter. You will use this as a basis for detecting clogging/leaks.

 

 

2. Recheck the pressure
Once the system is fully pressurized, check that the pressures conform to design calculations. Record these pressures. Perform these checks regularly.
