Frank Toves

Frank leads AvidWater, California’s largest agricultural irrigation system distribution and installation platform. He began his career in the agricultural industry in 2006, managing a local irrigation dealership in California’s Salinas Valley. Since then, he has built extensive experience across nearly every sector of the irrigation industry, including operations, irrigation design, sales and account management, and construction management.

In 2018, Frank assumed the role of Regional Sales Manager for the coastal division of Irrigation Design and Construction. During his tenure, he drove significant growth in coastal sales and construction operations, leading to the opening of new locations and expansion of the sales team. He also spearheaded the creation of the Precision Irrigation Division, with a focus on Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA). Under his leadership, the division became a leader in comprehensive design-build solutions for irrigation automation, fertigation, and climate control systems.

Frank is recognized by the Irrigation Association as a Certified Irrigation Designer (CID), Certified Agricultural Irrigation Specialist (CAIS), and Certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC), and as a Technical Service Provider (TSP) by the NRCS. He holds General Engineering, Building, and C-10 Electrical Contractor licenses through the California Contractors State License Board. Frank currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Irrigation Association and is a former President of the California Agricultural Irrigation Association.
