Fertigation – Venturi

  • A differential pressure between the inlet port and the outlet port is generated. This differential pressure creates a suction that “pulls up” the fertilizer.

  • The fertilizer is injected into the irrigation water.

  • The difference in pressure dictates the volume of vacuum created, and therefore the fertilizer application rate.

  • It is normally installed as a bypass system with a booster pump.

  • A rotameter can be added to measure an accurate suction rate.
