Fertigation – fertilizer tank

  • The system is activated by opening the inlet and outlet valves to the fertilizer tank, which is setup as a bypass system around a valve that creates a reduction of pressure.

  • Water is injected in one side of the tank, which agitates and mixes with the fertilizer, and this mix is expelled through the outlet.

  • The amount of head loss generated corresponds to the duration it takes to expel the tank. The greater the head loss, the faster the tank will be depleted of fertilizer.

  • Tables that show the amount of head loss related to the number of hours for the fertilizer to be depleted are available within the specific product material for each fertilizer tank. Ranges of times are given due to the variability associated with this fertigation method.
