George Apostolopoulos
General Manager, East Europe and Middle East Region (META Business Unit)
George Apostolopoulos is the General Manager of East Europe and Middle East region within the META Business Unit (Middle East, Turkey and Africa). He is responsible for all aspects of the business across the region, including manufacturing, operations, supply chain, human resources, finance, sales, marketing and customer service. His region spans a diverse group of markets, including Ukraine, the Balkan countries, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Greece.
George brings with him many years of successful international career, developing new markets in global industries such as mining, construction, and oil & gas. George spent most of his career at Atlas Copco, an international company that manufactures made-to-order mining (drilling) and construction equipment; the associated after market services business was also included. George served in several General Management positions for major companies located in Ghana, handling West Africa and Kazakhstan, where he gained significant managerial experience running and transforming these companies. George holds a Master of Science from the University of Manchester and MBA from the University of Louisville.
