Arkin Demir
General Manager of the Customer Financing Division (CFD)
Arkin is responsible for developing customer financing solutions to increase the mass adoption of micro irrigation globally. Previously, as the General Manager of the South & Central America (SACA) Business Unit, Arkin developed and executed long-term strategic growth plans, secured turnaround in major markets such as Brazil and Peru, started creative financial solutions for large projects with key financial partners and ensured an efficient regional operational model to support the business, including sales, marketing, manufacturing, supply management, finance and HR. From 2014 to June 2019, Arkin was the CEO of Rivulis Eurodrip Turkey.
Prior to joining Rivulis in 2014, Arkin served as the Regional Director of Middle East, Turkey and N.A at Cargill and Managing Director at Cargill Middle East in Dubai, establishing Cargill’s presence in the Middle East and starting a new +100 Mill USD JV investment. In addition, Arkin held the role of Business Development Manager, MEA at Al Ghurair Foods in UAE. He is a strong advocate of ESG and sustainability, leads many NGOs, chaired the Irrigation Industry Association of Turkey, offered public speeches, media interviews on water and environmental issues throughout his career.
Arkin holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Boğaziçi University and an Executive MBA from the London Business School. He speaks Turkish, English, French and Spanish.
