While micro irrigation enables growers to conserve scarce water and land resources while increasing crop yield, micro irrigation solutions are produced from plastic. At Rivulis, we are focused on reducing plastic usage throughout our value chain from factory to field.

Rathi Devi of Jharkhand, India, along with 3,000 other female growers are transforming agriculture with drip irrigation, enabling year-round crop cultivation, and boosting income.

Previously, the growers relied on rain. With drip irrigation, Rathi Devi can grow another crop cycle during the non-monsoon season. As a result, with the additional income earned , the socio economic transformation of these growers is tangible and Rathi Devi has built her own house.
Rivulis, in collaboration with the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society, is empowering female farmers, helping them achieve sustainable livelihoods through the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices. Discover more about Rivulis’ sustainability efforts.

Rivulis Climate is designed to help farmers benefit from the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) while transitioning to more sustainable farming. The VCM market in agriculture is new, costly, complex and long. So, at Rivulis Climate, we take care of the whole process.

Enhancing the use of renewable energy is an essential part of our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint. As a result, we are exploring alternative energy options in various countries where we have manufacturing plants. Our plants in Greece and Spain have already initiated a program to install solar panels by 2023. The installed capacity of the roof-top solar PV panels will be 820 kW in Greece and 850 kW in Spain.
