DLL, AGRI3 & Rivulis Launch Blended Finance for Sustainable Agriculture
Lima, June 11 2026 — DLL, the AGRI3 Fund and Rivulis have jointly launched a blended finance program to expand access to sustainable irrigation solutions for growers in emerging markets. The initiative combines public and private capital with risk-sharing mechanisms to make financing for sustainable agricultural solutions more accessible.
Developed in collaboration with Rabo Partnerships, the program enables financing of drip irrigation systems that traditionally fall outside standard lending criteria due to limited collateral value. By sharing risk across partners, the structure unlocks new opportunities for both farmers and commercial lenders to support farmer transition to sustainable agriculture.
Rivulis now offers its advanced drip irrigation systems and full-scale implementation and service in a seamless turnkey projects package, while AGRI3 provides guarantees and sustainability standards that help de-risk investments. DLL delivers financing expertise and local market execution.
Peru has been selected as the first pilot market, where growing water stress and agricultural expansion increase demand for efficient irrigation. The program’s first client, San Efisio, a blueberry farm in the Paiján Valley, benefits from access to Rivulis’ turnkey project solution This comprehensive irrigation system allows the farm to improve its water efficiency while securing more consistent crop yields and income. The initiative introduces a newly developed water risk assessment tool that aims to support similar financed growers in the future in managing water extraction responsibly and sustainably. In addition, the proposition drives meaningful improvements for farming communities, supporting women’s participation, permanent employment contracts and fair wages.
Designed for scalability, the program aims to expand beyond Peru into additional regions, supporting the broader transition to a more resilient and sustainable food system.
“This program shows what is possible when financial institutions, impact investors and agritechnology partners work as equals. By combining our strengths, we can unlock sustainable agriculture in emerging markets – creating value for growers, lenders and the environment alike.”
— Pieter Bos, Senior Blended Finance Advisor, Rabo Partnerships
“For sustainable agriculture to truly scale, we must connect the right technology with the right financial stakeholders. Rivulis acts as the conduit in this process—integrating our turnkey irrigation solutions with specialized financing to make climate resilience bankable. We are proud to be the catalyst for a program that empowers farmers to grow beyond, regardless of their starting point.” – Eran Ossmy, President, Rivulis
“This initiative is more than a financing program; it is a step toward the portfolio we want to build for the future. By showing that sustainable irrigation can work for farmers, partners and lenders alike, it opens the door to other sustainable assets that can help our customers grow while using resources more efficiently. The same approach could support precision agriculture, renewable energy and other solutions that strengthen a more resilient and sustainable portfolio across the region.” – Julian Infante, Commercial Manager, DLL
“At AGRI3, we provide guarantees to unlock investment in practical solutions that strengthen more resilient and sustainable food systems. This program combines efficient irrigation with water risk checks to support responsible water use, improve climate resilience and deliver tangible benefits for growers and farming communities. For AGRI3, this is exactly the kind of scalable impact we aim to catalyse.” – Casper Havinga, Investment Director, AGRI3 Fund
